Call for Papers 2026

“Children of the Night” International Dracula Congress 2026

Call For Papers

October 8-9: Brașov sessions

November 13-15: online sessions

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2026 double edition of the "Children of the Night" International Dracula Congress.

This year, participants are invited to join us in Brașov, Romania, on October 8–9 for two days of plenary sessions and discussions, as well as a walking tour of Brașov and a variety of evening activities. We also encourage you to stay an extra day and join us for our annual trip to Bran Castle, the famous Dracula-related pop culture tourist attraction located nearby.

This year's Congress dates coincide with the International Dracula Film Festival in Brașov, giving Congress participants the opportunity to attend selected festival events.

The online edition of the Congress will take place on November 13–15 via Zoom.

We invite everyone interested in presenting at the 2026 Congress to submit:

  • an abstract of 150–250 words,
  • a meaningful title clearly indicating the planned content of the presentation, and
  • a short biography.

The official language of the Congress is English.

Abstracts must be submitted by email and should fit one of the conference's main topics (please see the slider featuring the eight workshop themes on our website).

Submission deadlines:

  • September 9 – for the Brașov sessions
  • October 18 – for the online sessions

We are a non-profit organisation, and all conference fees go directly toward the costs of organising the event.
